Montgomery (urban stretch):

  • SAFETY (7)
  • CONGESTION (7)
  • PAVEMENT CONDITION (7)
  • CLARITY OF SIGNING (8)
  • AESTHETICS (7)

Between Montgomery and Alabama-Georgia border:

  • SAFETY (8): Many Georgians drive very fast through here, creating hazards. The same can be said for speeders doing 90-100 mph on the I-65 stretch between Mobile and Montgomery.
  • CONGESTION (7): Traffic can back-up onto the freeway at the Auburn and Opelika ramps.
  • PAVEMENT CONDITION (9)
  • CLARITY OF SIGNING (8)
  • AESTHETICS (7): Slightly less boring than I-65 between Mobile and Montgomery because of Auburn and Opelika.
